No, not unless it’s specifically permitted. Internal engine work, ECU tuning, added aero and relocated suspension pickup points are prohibited by default.

Adjustments to weight, restrictors, ECU calibration, ride height, aero or rev limit to keep different models competitive with each other, based on data across multiple sessions, never one lap or driver.

25 points for first down to 1 point for fifteenth and lower, scored separately by class. A car must officially start to score.

Before, during or after any event, including post session impound for top finishers. Refusing an inspection can mean disqualification.

If the organizer declares the track wet, no championship points are awarded that session, though drivers can still choose to run.

A3.2 Each entrant must be able to produce the information reasonably required to establish legality, including chassis identification, logbook, build information, ECU identification, gear ratios, component part numbers, measured weight and any prior written Series approvals.

A3.3 Porsche 968 and Cayman GTR entries must have an approved Vehicle Declaration describing at minimum the engine, induction, ECU, transmission, differential, suspension, brakes, wheels, tires, body, aerodynamic devices and minimum competition weight.

A3.4 A competition logbook or prior classification does not by itself establish compliance with this Appendix.

A4 GENERAL PREPARATION

A4.1 Factory-built Cup and Clubsport cars must remain substantially as manufactured for competition, subject only to normal adjustments, authorized Porsche updates, the allowances in this Appendix and written Series approvals.

A4.2 Components may be repaired or replaced with genuine, OEM-equivalent or approved competition parts that preserve the function, dimensions, material and performance of the approved component. Performance-enhancing substitutions require written approval.

A4.3 Fasteners, hoses, fittings, heat shielding, protective screens, fluid reservoirs, wiring repairs and data-sensor installations are free provided they do not create a performance advantage or reduce safety.

A4.4 The Series may require an entrant to restore any car to its declared or approved configuration before further participation.

A5 SAFETY

A5.1 Every car must meet or exceed the current safety requirements of the sanctioning organization, including requirements for roll-over protection, seat and mounting, harnesses, window net or arm restraints, fire suppression, master electrical cutoff, fuel-system protection and towing points.

A5.2 Factory safety structures and systems may not be removed, weakened or materially altered unless the replacement meets the applicable sanctioning-body rules and is approved by the Series Technical Director.

A5.3 Safety equipment must be within the applicable certification or service period. Structural damage, fluid leakage, loose bodywork or unsafe repairs are grounds for exclusion until corrected.

A6 ENGINE INDUCTION EXHAUST AND ECU

A6.1 The engine type, displacement, internal components and compression ratio must conform to the approved specification or Vehicle Declaration. Porting, polishing, non-approved camshafts, altered displacement and internal lightening are prohibited unless specifically declared and approved for a Porsche 968 or Cayman GTR.

A8.2 Normal adjustment of ride height, camber, caster, toe, dampers and anti-roll bars is permitted where the approved car provides that adjustment.

A8.3 Springs, dampers, bushings, bearings and anti-roll bars must comply with the approved specification. Equivalent service replacements require prior approval if their dimensions, adjustment range or operating principle differ from the approved component.

A9 BRAKES

A9.1 Calipers, rotor dimensions, master cylinders, ABS hardware and brake-balance systems must conform to the approved specification or Vehicle Declaration.

A9.2 Brake-pad compound and brake fluid are unrestricted unless a Series technical bulletin states otherwise.

A9.3 Flexible brake lines, cooling hoses and protective duct screens may be replaced or improved for safety and reliability, provided brake-cooling changes do not create an aerodynamic device or materially alter exterior bodywork.

A10 WHEELS AND TIRES

A10.1 Wheel diameter, width and offset must conform to the approved specification or an applicable Series technical bulletin. Wheels must be suitable for racing, structurally sound and free from cracks or damage.

A10.2 Permitted dry and wet tire makes, models, sizes and weekend allocations will be stated in the annual regulations, event supplemental regulations or Series technical bulletins.

A10.3 Tire chemical treatment, softening, recutting, artificial heating outside permitted equipment, or any process intended to alter the tire compound is prohibited.

A11 BODYWORK FLOOR AND AERODYNAMICS

A11.1 Body panels, underfloor, splitters, diffusers, wings, wing supports, louvers and other aerodynamic components must match the approved model and aerodynamic package.

A11.2 Mixing aerodynamic parts between generations or packages, altering wing profiles, extending splitters, adding dive planes, modifying the floor or diffuser, or creating unapproved air passages is prohibited without written approval.

A11.3 Approved cooling openings and ducts may be screened for protection. Tape may be used to regulate cooling only when it does not change the approved body profile or create an unsafe condition.

A11.4 Damaged bodywork may be temporarily repaired during an event if it remains secure and safe. The car must be restored to an approved configuration within the period directed by officials.

A12 FUEL COOLING LUBRICATION AND ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS

A12.1 Fuel and the complete fuel system must comply with the sanctioning organization’s rules and any Series fuel bulletin. Performance-enhancing fuel additives are prohibited unless specifically approved.

A12.2 Radiators, coolers, pumps, fans, ducting and lubrication-system components must remain within the approved specification. Reliability improvements may be approved when they do not materially increase engine output or aerodynamic performance.

A12.3 Batteries, alternators, starters, lighting and wiring may be replaced with equivalent competition components. Electrical changes may not be used to alter engine, transmission, ABS or traction-system performance outside the approved specification.

A13 COMPETITION WEIGHT AND BALANCE OF PERFORMANCE

A13.1 Minimum competition weight is the car with driver and all remaining fluids immediately after a qualifying session or race, unless a published Series bulletin defines another weighing condition.

A13.2 The enforceable minimum weight, restrictor, rev limit, tire specification and aerodynamic configuration for each model will be stated in the current Porsche Technical Specification Bulletin. Until a value is published for a particular car, that car may compete only with written approval specifying its interim configuration.

A13.4 To maintain reasonable parity between unlike cars, the Series may adjust minimum weight, intake restriction, boost limit where applicable, ECU calibration, rev limit, ride height or aerodynamic configuration. Adjustments should be based on multiple sources of evidence, including lap data, acceleration, speed traces, vehicle weight, tire performance and repeatable race results.

A13.5 A Balance of Performance adjustment is not a finding that a car is illegal and should not be based solely on one exceptional driver, lap or result.

A14 PORSCHE 968 AND CAYMAN GTR SPECIAL PROVISIONS

A14.1 Because Porsche 968 and Cayman GTR race cars may not share a single factory competition specification, each car is approved individually.

A14.2 The Vehicle Declaration must identify all major performance-related systems and any later change requires written approval before use.

A14.3 Approval of one Porsche 968 or Cayman GTR does not automatically approve the same configuration for another chassis.

A14.4 The Series may apply car-specific weight, power, tire or aerodynamic conditions to integrate the vehicle fairly with its assigned competition group.

A15 TECHNICAL INSPECTION DATA AND SEALING

A15.1 Officials may inspect, measure, photograph, weigh, scan or seal any relevant component and may require the entrant to provide video, ECU information, logged data or dynamometer results.

A15.2 The entrant must not erase, overwrite or withhold requested data after being notified of an inspection or review.

A15.3 Refusal to permit inspection, failure to provide requested documentation or data, tampering with a seal, or presenting false technical information may result in exclusion, disqualification, loss of points or further Series discipline.

A15.4 If disassembly is required, the Series will establish the inspection process and responsibility for costs before work begins, subject to the procedures of the sanctioning organization.

A16 REPAIRS UPDATES AND WRITTEN APPROVALS

A16.1 Emergency repairs may be accepted for the remainder of an event when officials determine that the car is safe and no meaningful performance advantage results.

A16.2 Manufacturer service updates and superseded components are not automatically permitted when they change performance. The entrant must obtain written approval when the effect is material or uncertain.

A16.3 Written approvals must identify the car and the approved configuration. The competitor must retain the approval and present it upon request.

A17 INTERPRETATION AND COMPLIANCE

A17.1 The Series Director and Series Technical Director interpret this Appendix. Competitors should request a written ruling before purchasing, installing or using any component whose legality is uncertain.

A17.2 A car found outside its approved specification may be excluded from a session or event and may be subject to additional penalties under the main regulations or sanctioning-body rules.

A17.3 The Series may amend this Appendix or issue technical bulletins for safety, reliability, cost control, rules alignment or competitive parity. Immediate safety changes may take effect without advance notice.
